Explanation#
The explanation section starts from the common Blender camera object.
The conventional axonometric and oblique projection systems differ and are defined according to architectural notations.
The goal of this section is to expose the Pohlke add-on parameters as it implements a architectural notation system into the Blender environment. We explain the parameters at play between these two ways of handling projection.
What does Pohlke mean?
The add-on is named after Karl Wilhelm Pohlke (1810–1876), author of a generalizing parallel projection theorem in 1853.

The Pohlke add-on was part of the presentation The Missing Camera or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Oblique Projection at BCON24.
